GREAT PEDIGREE : Nummus from the EPFIG HOARD! In the ground in todays Alsace, France. Century, when they were discovered in 2010 by a crew digging a new sewerage system in the small town of Epfig! Obverse : VRBS ROMA, mantled bust of Roma left, wearing plumed helmet with on the reverse Roma/She-Wolf & Twins to commemorate the founding of Rome with the myth of Remus and Romulus!

Perfectly centred reverse and obverse. Deeply toned and of very fine style!
